Wild Van Nissan NV200 Conversions

The perfect micro-camper for exploring the great outdoors in style

We’ve seen the Nissan NV200 become a hugely popular van for camper conversions. Our customers love this small yet perfectly formed adventure mobile as it’s both compact enough to park in those more difficult to reach beauty spots and spacious enough to fit everything you need for a comfy and luxurious camping trip!

As part of our conversion service we work with customers to come up with a bespoke design and tailored campervan spec. Before the start of each build we provide a set of 3D models to help visualise the layout and interior, which we are happy to rework and adapt as desired until we come up with the perfect design for our customer’s dream campervan. We can tailor our conversions to suit solo travellers, couples, families and pets

“Dee & Simon were approachable at every stage of the design and build. It was always a two way process. Communication was excellent despite the distance between us. Clear, helpful drawings were supplied when changes to the design were required enabling me to make informed decisions.” – Tricia Bond, Nissan eNV200 conversion

Commitment to sustainability and working to protect the planet are values that have always been close to our hearts and at the forefront of our minds. We have been excited to learn more about the possibilities for electric vehicles and have worked with leading UK electrical component manufacturers to come up with a fully electric campervan conversion spec for our Nissan e-NV200 conversions, that offers you all the comforts and luxury of our standard conversion but without the use of any gas, diesel or petrol power.

FAQs

Do you supply the vehicle?
We do not usually supply vehicles. Customers bring their empty vehicle to our workshop in Norwich, Norfolk, where we carry out the conversion and supply all components and materials. We are happy to offer our advice based on previous experience of converting Nissan NV200s and have links with vehicle import companies if you are looking to source an automatic petrol engine NV200.

Which model of NV200 is best for a campervan?
We can convert any model of the NV200 and fit additional opening bonded side windows to the van model if desired. The Combi version with the tailgate rear door offers plenty of light having windows all the way around and the tailgate is useful for providing overhead shelter outside the back of the van. The van model is also great for conversions as you get to choose where windows are fitted and use wall space for things like shelving/plate racks etc.

How long does the conversion take?
Due to the bespoke and handcrafted nature of our work it is difficult to give exact time frames for our builds. Where we are often creating one-off pieces and working on new designs, unexpected delays can sometimes occur and we like to take our time to ensure every little detail is perfect. If you have a date in mind for when you’re looking to have the conversion completed we will do everything we can to meet this, however to avoid disappointment we ask customers to factor some flexibility into their plans for the conversion. As a general guide, our NV200 conversions take around 6 weeks to complete.

How big is the bed in an NV200 conversion?
We enjoy working with customers to come up with a bespoke layout for each project but generally speaking there is space for a 1050mm x 1900mm bed in the NV200, when allowing space for the kitchen and storage compartments.

Do you work on part conversions?
We are happy to take on either complete start to finish conversions or work on particular jobs such as building furniture, fitting electrical systems etc. When carrying out part conversions their may be some additional labour in planning out how our work will integrate with the rest of the conversion.

Can I visit your workshop before the conversion?
We usually like to have at least one face to face meeting before starting a new project as this allows us to make sure we understand exactly what you’re looking for and go through some of the finer details. We also like to take this opportunity to show customers some examples of our work and go through samples of the materials and finishes we like to work with. During COVID-19 lockdowns we limit our contact with customers as much as possible and arrange to host meetings virtually, sharing designs via 3D computer models and swapping ideas using sites like Pinterest. We can also arrange to post samples to you to help with decision making.
