Fiat Ducato Conversion

For years Rus & Cal thought about making the life changing move out of their house and into a van…

Rus & Cal had big plans to buy a van and travel around Europe with their two dogs, Cookie & Hooch. We were so happy to be able to help them towards this goal and work with them to build a cosy rustic home-on-wheels.

They wanted their van to:

  • Be homey and rustic with solid timber furniture
  • Provide a safe and comfy home for their two dogs
  • Enable them to be self-sufficient when travelling in the UK & abroad, providing ample power, water and giving them their own cooking facilities and toilet/washroom
  • Have plenty of built in storage for all their belongings as the van would be their full-time home

“We planned to live and travel in our van full-time when we commissioned Wild Van to do our conversion, so we knew we wanted something that felt like a tiny house rather than a camper.  They were able to create a home on wheels with plenty of rustic charm and bespoke features that have made our van  perfectly suited to life on the road with two dogs. The attention to detail and clever design throughout  is outstanding! We can tell that they both really care about what they do and want to create the best possible van; something that is both beautiful and practical. Simon and Dee were always willing to listen to our ideas (even the crazy ones!) and we were able to have a great deal of input into the finishes so that it felt like something unique to us.  We always trusted their advice when making decisions about the conversion as they’re knowledgeable, helpful and have plenty of full-time van dwelling under their belts. They were also incredibly patient and understanding when we changed our minds a couple of times too! Thank you both for our cosy cottage on wheels, we love it so much and it has definitely made the transition from house to van so much easier!”Rus & Cal
